Free Social Media Image Resizer

1. Who we are

Resize King (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free, browser-based social media image resizing tool available at resize-king.com. We are not a company — this is an independent project. For privacy matters contact us at privacy@resize-king.com.

2. Images you upload

Your images never leave your device. All resizing is performed entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. We have no server that receives, stores, or processes your files. We cannot see them, and they are not transmitted over the internet.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s localStorage to store:

Your last-used adjustment settings (background colour, zoom, fit mode, format) — key: resizeking:options:v1
Whether you have dismissed the mobile info banner — key: resizeking:bannerClosed
Your analytics consent choice — key: resizeking:consent

None of these values contain personal data. They are stored locally on your device and are never sent to us.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (page views, feature usage, browser type). GA4 uses cookies to distinguish users and may collect your IP address.

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics is only activated after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner.

Data processor: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google may transfer data to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer or clearing your browser’s local storage. Analytics will stop immediately.

5. Advertising

We may display ads via third-party ad networks to keep the tool free. Ad networks may set their own cookies and collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control these cookies. If you have declined analytics consent, we request non-personalised ads only.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

Access personal data we hold about you
Rectify inaccurate data
Erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
Restrict or object to processing
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Because we hold no personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised by clearing your browser’s local storage. For any other requests email privacy@resize-king.com.

7. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
